Oh my oh my oh my… I cannot get over this amazing session.
I hadn’t met Anna + Ben before this day, but as soon as we said hello, it was obvious why they belong together. They are so at ease in each other’s arms, with a natural playfulness and joy that bring out the best in each other. Plus, they were an absolute dream to photograph. I stepped in to lightly direct when I needed to, but most of the time, they just ran around and danced and cuddled and looked adorable. I mean, they’re basically models, am I right? (And anyone else think Ben could be a Matt Damon doppelganger?)
Anna + Ben chose to have their destination engagement session at White Sands National Monument in New Mexico because it was one of the first places they visited together after they started dating. I absolutely love it when couples pick locations for their session that mean something special to them! These two have been together for four years and are getting ready to say “I do” for life. It was such an honor getting to document their passionate, adventurous love in such a beautiful place.
And as a little personal fun fact: their session was special for me too because as a kid, I spent a lot of time at White Sands on family vacations, sledding down those white dunes and building sand castles. Since this was the first time I had been back in over 10 years, to say I was thrilled is the understatement of the year.
I probably screamed with delight and danced like a crazy person and yelled “yassss queen” a few too many times during their session, but… I think once you take a look, you’ll see why. Anna + Ben absolutely SLAYED.
