Oh my gosh, this day.
Seattle. Colorado. Ohio. North Carolina. Just a few of the places guests traveled from for Erin + Matty’s backyard wedding in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The more I talked to guests, the more I realized how precious these two people are. So many of their friends and family were willing to travel so far just to see them get married, and it was easy to understand why.
Erin + Matty are two of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and honestly, I’m kinda bummed I only got to spend a few hours getting to know them. Erin spent the last few minutes before her ceremony setting up her cake, decorating tables, and making sure everyone else was taken care of. Matty and his groomsmen were some of the funniest, most delightful humans I’d ever met. I seriously don’t think I’ve ever had so much fun with a bridal party!
Their intimate wedding at Erin’s family’s farmhouse was one of the most special days I’ve ever experienced. So much love from both sides and from all over the continent, coming together to celebrate two people who are clearly adored by everyone who knows them. The most heartfelt speeches, the most energetic dancing, the most love and the most fun. As everyone danced and cried and ate tacos, it didn’t feel like a collection of strangers; it felt like family.
