Balloon displays. A yellow tandem bike. Vibrant florals. A picnic-style reception. A boho tent. Have I said enough to convince you this was one magical wedding???
Nestled among the trees of Woodward Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Alicia + Caleb threw the loveliest, most colorful spring wedding. Even after having to change their wedding plans three times because of covid, their day still turned out to be the stuff dreams are made of.
From my first conversation with these two, I knew their wedding day was going to be something special. Talking to them was like talking to some of my oldest friends. We instantly clicked, and I knew it was meant to be. It was one of those wedding days where everyone felt like family. Even though we all had to social distance a bit, you could still feel the closeness of the group and the excitement over Alicia + Caleb getting married.
Alicia + Caleb filled their day with the kind of moments they knew they would remember forever. Singing a song together during their ceremony, pausing during the reception to take a spin around the park on a tandem bike, having a picnic with their friends, and climbing a tree for some of their portraits (still obsessed over that). And in the spirit of doing everything a little bit differently, instead of bubbles or confetti for their grand exit, they thought, why not do BOTH. As they danced their way through the send-off, the love and excitement was so tangible I honestly teared up a bit. I wasn’t ready to go home at the end of the night. I wanted this day to last forever.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. DO WHAT YOU WANT on your wedding day. Make it your own. Have a freaking fun time. Create a day you’ll want to remember forever, just like Alicia + Caleb did.
